Milner Road, Wimbledon
The client wished to add additional accommodation at loft level, with a new master suite including open plan ensuite, additional guest wc and storage room below from roof. Atelierdb maximised the available footprint and created a full floor plate loft extension using Permitted Development.
Visually the loft was tied in with the previously undertaken ground floor extension by using the same crittall glazing. A full opening flat rooflight measuring 2×1 metres allowed the client to lay beneath the stars on hot summer evenings! This project made the long list in the 2019 Don’t Move, Improve! competition, organised by New London Architecture.
