Virgin Active, Mansion House

Atelierdb designed this smart new health club in the City of London at Mansion House for Virgin Active. Previously office space, we worked with Fairhurst Structural Engineers to cut a swimming pool into the existing structural framework – made more difficult as the area allocated is adjoining a Roman Ampitheatre ruin, necessitating the building to cantilever to remove foundation loads passing onto the historic area. ISG delivered a sharp fitout to provide a club offering new studios, changing facilities and large gym floor.
